For more than ten years, Midge has been working one-on-one with authors on their manuscripts in a variety of genres, from short stories to novels to memoirs -- and from outline to final draft. Each consulting project is custom-designed for the writer, so please contact Midge to talk about yours.
With more than fifteen years of copyediting experience -- for publishers including Penguin, St. Martin's Press, Houghton Mifflin, and Bantam -- Midge regularly edits manuscripts for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style. Copyediting is a good idea for authors who are ready to send manuscripts to agents and/or editors, as well as for those who'd like to self-publish. Prices vary depending on the manuscript; please contact Midge for an estimate.
Coaching is perfect for writers who need accountability, and it can be combined with editing services. Midge has coached many writers through their projects by offering writing assignments, creating schedules, setting deadlines, and offering regular appointments to touch base and keep the project on track. Please feel free to contact Midge for more information.
If you'd prefer to receive feedback on your work in conversation rather than edits on a page, you can set up a phone/Skype call. All you need to do is email Midge the work in advance, then work out what you'd like to focus on as well as the length of the call. Contact Midge for details.
